N,N-Didodecylmethylamine is the main raw material for the production of cationic quaternary ammonium salts, which can be reacted with benzyl chloride to produce double-chain benzyl quaternary ammonium salts D1217. N,N-Didodecylmethylamine is widely used in the disinfectant industry and the bactericide industry.

2. N,N-Didodecylmethylamine can react with quaternized raw materials such as methyl chloride to form double-chain quaternary ammonium salt D1221. It can be used as bactericide, softener, emulsifier, surfactant, and it is used in pigment, dye, mineral flotation, water treatment, oil field, textile, daily chemical and other industries.

3. N,N-Didodecylmethylamine can also react with dimethyl sulfate and diethyl sulfate to form gemini quaternary ammonium salts.

4. N,N-Didodecylmethylamine has been used in the preparation of emodin quaternary ammonium salt derivatives with antitumor activity.

5. N,N-Didodecylmethylamine is used as preservatives, fuel additives, fungicides, rare metal extractants, pigment dispersants, mineral flotation agents, cosmetic raw materials and intermediates in the synthesis of cationic surfactants.
