Feature:

Hydrogenated tallow amine is an 18-carbon primary aliphatic amine. It has a role as a film-forming compound. Hydrogenated tallow amine have a weak pungent ammonia odor. Hydrogenated tallow amine is insoluble in water and its density is less than that of water. So it floats on the water. Contact with it may irritate skin, eyes and mucous membranes. It can be toxic if ingested. It is used to make other chemicals. Hydrogenated tallow amine is easily soluble in chloroform, ethanol, ether and benzene. It is basic and can react with acids to produce the corresponding amine salts.

The main component of Hydrogenated tallow amine is triglyceride of fatty acid. It has a special odor of beef tallow. Insoluble in water, soluble in chloroform, carbon disulfide. Due to the different preparation methods, Hydrogenated tallow amine usually contains free fatty acids, pectin and protein. If it is used as for the manufacture of high-grade soap, Hydrogenated tallow amine need to be refined. It can remove the pectin and odor an it can also improve color. The stability of Hydrogenated tallow amine is better than that of lard and unhydrogenated vegetable oil.

Hydrogenated tallow amine has the following applications/functions:

1.Hydrogenated tallow amine is organic synthesis intermediate, which is important intermediate of cationic and zwitterionic surfactants. 

2. Hydrogenated tallow amine is the synthetic raw material of amine ether products, which is widely used in textile, dyes, pigments, antistatic agents, and papermaking auxiliaries.

3. Hydrogenated tallow amine is the raw material for the synthesis of fungicides.

4.Hydrogenated tallow amine is widely used in mineral flotation, it is widely used in mineral flotation agents such as zinc oxide, lead ore, mica, feldspar, potassium chloride, potassium carbonate, etc.

5. Hydrogenated tallow amine can also be used as the raw material of fertilizer anti-caking agent.

6. Hydrogenated tallow amine is the raw material of boiler protection agent.

7. Hydrogenated tallow amine can be used to make soap, laundry soap, stearic acid, stearate, etc. It is also the main raw material for making higher fatty alcohols, fatty amines, various surfactants, oils, and fabric softeners.
