N- Hydrogenated tallow- 1,3- diaminopropane is a long-chain aliphatic amine, which is a large class of organic amine compounds with carbon chain lengths in the range of C8-C22. N- Hydrogenated tallow- 1,3- diaminopropane has a slight ammonia odor, it is insoluble in water, but it is soluble in many organic solvents. It is less dense than water and therefore it floats on the surface. N- Hydrogenated tallow- 1,3- diaminopropane is an organic base compound that reacts with acids to form salts, and it also reacts with CO2 in the air. Contact with it may irritate skin, eyes and mucous membranes. It may be toxic if ingested, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. N- Hydrogenated tallow- 1,3- diaminopropane is used to make other chemicals.
N- Hydrogenated tallow- 1,3- diaminopropane is toxic. Inhalation, ingestion or skin contact with material may cause severe injury or death. Contact with molten substance may cause severe burns to skin and eyes. Avoid any skin contact. Effects of contact or inhalation may be delayed. Fire may produce irritating, corrosive and/or toxic gases. Runoff from fire control or dilution water may be corrosive and/or toxic and cause pollution.
N-Hydrogenated tallow-1,3-diaminopropane has the following applications/functions:
1. N- Hydrogenated tallow- 1,3- diaminopropane can be used to synthesize nonionic surfactants with ethylene oxide and propylene oxide.
2. N- Hydrogenated tallow- 1,3- diaminopropane can also be used as asphalt emulsifier.
3. N- Hydrogenated tallow- 1,3- diaminopropane can be used as mineral flotation. It has special effect in phosphate rock and other minerals.
4. N- Hydrogenated tallow- 1,3- diaminopropane can also be used as a chain lubricant and use in the lubricant additive industry.
5. N- Hydrogenated tallow- 1,3- diaminopropanec is as pigment dispersing agent in the pigment industry.
