According to the official EU Gazette, on November 26, 2021, the European Commission issued Regulation (EU) No 2021/2076, approving L-tryptophan produced by Escherichia coli KCCM 80210 as a feed additive for all animals in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003 of the European Parliament and Council.
According to the conditions specified in the attachment, this additive is authorized as an animal additive and belongs to the category of “nutritional additives“, with the functional group being “amino acids, amino acid salts and their analogues“. The authorization end date is December 19, 2031. This regulation shall come into effect on the 20th day from the date of its promulgation.
