1-Naphthaleneacetic acid is a broad-spectrum plant growth regulator

1-Naphthaleneacetic acid, also known as naphthylacetic acid α- Naphthaleneacetic acid , is a broad-spectrum plant growth regulator. Its physiological function and mechanism are similar to indoleacetic acid. It can promote cell division and expansion, induce the formation of adventitious roots, increase fruit setting, prevent fruit drop, and change the ratio of female and male flowers. Low concentration can promote the growth and development of plants, and high concentration can cause the production of endogenous ethylene, which can not only accelerate ripening and increase production, but also improve the ability of some crops to resist cold, drought, waterlogging and salt. It can enter the plant through the tender epidermis and seeds of leaves and branches and be transported to the whole plant with nutrient flow.  Naphthaleneacetic  acid can be used in wheat and rice to increase effective tillers, improve panicle rate, promote grain plumpness and increase yield significantly. It is suitable for cereal crops to increase tillering, panicle rate and 1000 grain weight; Cotton can reduce the shedding of buds and bolls, increase the weight of peach and improve the quality. Fruit trees promote flowering, prevent fruit dropping, accelerate ripening and increase production. Melon and fruit vegetables prevent falling flowers and form small seed fruits; Promote the rooting of cutting branches, etc.

Specific effects of 1- naphthaleneacetic acid:

Promote growth: When cutting, soaking the base of rose branches with a length of 6 cm-8 cm in naphthaleneacetic acid solution with a concentration of 100 MG-150 mg / l can induce rooting.

Control plant type: When chrysanthemum cuttings were soaked in naphthaleneacetic acid with a concentration of 3000 mg / L, or 1-2 weeks after transplanting, spraying 2 times (7-10 days intervals) on the whole plant of chrysanthemum could promote the dwarf and flower growth of chrysanthemum plants.

Induced flowering and fruiting: Spraying Pineapple leaves with 5-10 mg / L naphthaleneacetic acid can make pineapple blossom early. Spraying the naphthaleneacetic acid solution with a concentration of 50-100 mg / L on the surface of the ornamental fruit flowers can delay the ripening of the fruit and prolong the ornamental period of the fruit and flower.

Flower disease and falling off prevention: The naphthaleneacetic acid with a concentration of 50 mg / L sprayed on flowers and leaves of flowers on the first 7 days of flower listing can reduce the natural abscission of flowers and bracts under high temperature and low illumination.
